Banksy at Art in The Streets at MOCA in LA.
God bless Banksy! The artist has a gift for Los Angeles street art lovers. For the duration of the “Art In The Streets” exhibit at MOCA in Downtown Los Angeles, you can get in for free on Mondays, courtesy of the artist. This offer is good through August 8, 2011. I wonder if Banksy will bail out his pal Mr. Brainwash who has just lost a copyright infringement suit.
PS. I’ve seen this exhibit and even if you have to pay, it’s SOOOOOO worth it!

Young Empires
This is such exciting news! The Canadian funk-punk trio Young Empires have a Christmas present for all you music lovers out there! For a limited time, the band has allowed me to share a brand new recording with you! The track is a slow jam entitled “The Earth Plates Are Shifting.” You can download the mp3 for FREE at this link. I’ve been listening to it a lot already and I think this is going to be my 2010 holiday jam.
In other Young Empires news, the band has just completed more South American dates touring with Jamiroquai and will be back in the states in early 2011 performing with Tanlines in Chicago (January 15, 2011). They’ll be playing throughout Canada with Chromeo and you know what that means – they are going to be HUGE! I’m so excited for the future of Young Empires!
Thanks again to the band for sharing this track and I hope they get their rest now because I predict that 2011 is going to be a very busy year for Young Empires!
