"Fireland" by Ian Francis. Now showing at Joshua Liner Gallery in New York through April 2, 2011.
UK Based artist Ian Francis’ exhibit “Fireland” at the Joshua Liner Gallery marks his first solo exhibition in New York. He uses vivid colors and draws inspiration from cinema, pornography, street culture and images sampled from the Internet. Ian Francis uses a range of techniques including acrylic, oil, charcoal, ink as well graphite in his works. Each work is Ian Francis’ vision of love, lust, peace, chaos and the consequences of combining these elements. You cannot see the detail in these photos so I urge your to see the exhibit in person.
