Funkateers!  If you live in New York, Minneapolis or Chicago, you are in luck.  One of the funkiest bands of the 80s (and still going strong), fDeluxe, have announced 3 shows in August 2013:

August 21, 2013 at City Winery in New York

August 22, 2013 at City Winery in Chicago

August 23, 2013 at Dakota in Minneapolis

If you don’t know the music of fDeluxe, let me tell you a few things:  their saxophone player Eric Leeds is arguably the best sax man alive and is responsible for so many of the funkiest moments on Prince’s late 80s output; 20 years later, the band is still incredibly funky; there’s a 99% chance you’ll hear “The Screams of Passion” and “Mutiny” performed live, which are two of the hidden gems of the 80s and if that’s not enough, they sang the original version of the classic song “Nothing Compares 2 U,” for crying out loud!

GO SEE THEM!  You will not regret it.

Pass it on!
