Midnight Moments by Tracey Emin
Despite freezing rain mixed with light snow, artist Tracey Emin and about 100 fans attended a Valentine’s Day eve showing of her latest work “Midnight Moments” in New York’s Times Square on February 13, 2013. The visual valentine shows Tracey Emin’s animated words appearing on 14 Times Square Marquees (in all directions) from 11:57 PM through midnight nightly for the entire month of February 2013.

Love What You Want
You can see the Times Square takeover at 11:57 PM through midnight if you head over to 47th Street and Broadway in New York during the entire month of February 2013.

I Promise To Love You
I met Tracey Emin after the presentation was over and despite the nasty weather, she was very nice. She even let me get under her umbrella to stay dry whilst we took a photo. Thanks Tracey!

Life On Mars Revisited by David Bowie, Mick Rock, Barney Clay
The Creators Project is an event not to be missed. Last year, I attended the inaugural launch party in New York and it was one of the best events I’ve ever been to. It was at Milk Studios in Chelsea and it featured 12 hours of music and art installations. This year, they switched it up a little bit and held the festivities over 2 days and in Brooklyn, spread out across multiple locations in Dumbo. Gone were the free alcohol and food, but the art was pretty interesting. Most installations were made with cutting edge technology and it was surely a stimuli overload for the good.

The weather was slightly chilly, but it was a gorgeous day to wander around and discover one cool art installation after another. These photos you see don’t represent how cool each installation was, including the top photo of being engulfed by larger than life cinema screens featuring a tripped out remixed video of David Bowie’s “Life On Mars.”

You were encouraged to interact with the art, which is always welcome in my book, as you will see in the next photo. The Creators Project also runs October 16, 2011 by RSVP only. Hopefully you got your confirmation because you will not want to miss this!

Fucknails. Your Body Is Our Temple NOW!
When you hear about a one night only pop up installation entitled “Fucknails,” how on earth can you miss it? The event took place at the Daniel Reich Gallery in New York on July 21, 2011.
“Fucknails” was a mock salon, operated by some of the hottest gays in Manhattan. Drinks were served, art was on the walls, and facials were given. Not those kind! I had a 3rd Eye treatment that entailed me laying on a beach chair whose head pillow was a pair of see through blow up breasts! I have to say, I feel more perceptive since I had the treatment.

The Daniel Reich Gallery is located at 537A West 23rd Street in Manhattan.

New York! Save the date. On April 23rd at 9 pm on the corner of 47th and Broadway, artist Danni Rash will be giving away 100 drawings in an installation called “Free Shit For Cool People.” I’ve met Danni before and he’s cool, so he’ll be able to spot fakers.
NO TRICKS. SKIP RENT, BUY DRUGS.
P.S. I’ll be at a concert that night, so will someone cool hook a brother up?!

I’m not sure how you feel about this rat/art, but I can almost guarantee that somewhere out there, Banksy is laughing his arse off!
