On March 14, 2011, at the Music Hall of Williamsburg in New York, I met singer James Blake prior to his first ever show in the United States.  This was the second time I’ve met a singer named James on their first trip to America. The first time was James Cook, lead singer of Delphic, and that encounter, over a year old is still fresh in my memory.  I welcomed James Blake to America and wished him great success with everything including his upcoming SXSW appearances.  He was very nice and he told me that from what little of America he’s seen so far, he’s loving it!  After the show, the American audience returned the love and we all embraced James Blake as music’s latest superstar.  Thanks again James and I know you don’t need my luck to make it big here, but I am giving it to you anyway!  If you don’t know James Blake’s music, think of Thom Yorke’s voice over the laid back trippy beats of Massive Attack.  Huge!
