Jane Fonda and Geoffrey Dicker
Meeting Jane Fonda, one of the most beautiful women to ever walk the face of the earth. I think this will sum it up: OH MY GOD! In a very brief encounter with the woman who has lived a thousand lives in 70 years, Jane Fonda was very nice to stop and pose for a picture with me. Her life is so fascinating as she’s gone from sex bomb to excercise goddess to political activist to marrying one of the most powerful media moguls and has made a triumphant return to acting (of which her latest film “Peace Love and Misunderstanding” is set for release in June 2012). You must read her autobiography that details her amazing life. It’s fascinating! Thank you so much Jane and also thanks for autographing the DVD of one of my favorite films, “Barbarella”! She is truly the queen of the galaxy!

"Trash Landing" by Nate Lowman at Gavin Brown's Enterprise in New York. Now showing through June 18, 2011.
Nate Lowman’s latest exhibit “Trash Landing” at Gavin Brown’s Enterprise in New York continues the artist’s trend of observing modern life and depicting it in art. For example, the above diptych of Jane Fonda and Joan Rivers links the two women as icons of American narcissism. Throughout the exhibit, you’ll see the world’s obsession with violence, celebrity and inevitable collapse in a cleverly organized mixed-media exhibit.
At the bank of the gallery, after you pass through a bank teller window that has been shot at multiple times, you’ll see Nate Lowman’s homage to William DeKooning’s “Marilyn Monroe” as there are approximately 20 paintings, only with slight differences but in varying sizes.

Jane Fonda is more than a legend! The actress/activist/fitness guru/mother was born on December 21 and we at According2g wish her a wonderful day! I’ve read a lot of celebrity biographies and I have to say, I think Jane Fonda has lived one of the most interesting lives of all. How she’s managed to pack in as much as she has in such a short amount of time is beyond me. In addition to having a famous father, she was an on and off-screen sex goddess. She has been married to a film director, political activist and billionaire. She started a fitness empire, had the world hate her for her political commentary and has starred in some of the most successful films of all time, including 2 of my favorites “Barbarella” and “9 to 5.” I’ve met her on several occasions and she’s very nice. Hope she has a wonderful birthday and I wish her many happy solar returns!
