As the sold out Fitz and the Tantrums show came to a close at New York’s Bowery Ballroom on January 19, 2011, lead singer Michael Fitzpatrick (aka Fitz) said these magic words to the adoring audience:  “Come hang out with us in the bar after the show is over!”  Done!  I was on my way to another engagement so I only had a chance to meet lead singer Michael Fitzpatrick and singer Noelle Scaggs, but I am happy to report they were beyond friendly.  Such cool people who were extremely gracious that they received such a warm welcome in New York.

Noelle Scaggs, who was also amazing during the show, despite having lost her voice a few days ago, was extremely nice too!  So sweet.  She made me promise to post this photo on Facebook and I told her that I’d also put it on my blog.  One of the secrets of my success is that I always keep my end of the bargain.  Thanks again to Noelle and Michael Fitzpatrick as well as the Tantrums for making me wander into the night in a fit of happiness.

You win some, you lose some, I always say.  Toro Y Moi, one of the hottest bands on the scene, performed last night, January 19, 2011 at a sold out show at Mercury Lounge in New York. Because I was at a different show, I missed the event.  On a up note, I was invited to an exclusive after-party that Toro Y Moi’s Chazwick Bundick attended and I got to meet the superstar on the rise.  He was super cool as you can see from the above picture.  When I met Chaz, I was unaware that we both have the word “Dick” in our last names!  I’m sure that would have been a great therapy session, but I’ll be seeing Toro Y Moi when they return to New York in a few months so perhaps I’ll get my chance to bring it up then.  Thanks again Chaz and I can’t wait to see you live!
