Kanye West Eyes More Red Than The Devil Is by Borbay
New York based artist Borbay is back with his latest exhibit – #KingsOfHipHop. Borbay has paid homage to 7 kings of Hip Hop: Kayne West, Dr. Dre, Lil Wayne, Eminem, Snoop Dogg, P. Diddy and Jay-Z. He juxtaposes the concept of social media with the printed word. His criteria for selecting the 7 kings included the artists being big proponents of social media but also with an entrepreneurial spirit. Each piece captures the essence of the subject both visually and textually – both in their music and their real life antics. The opening night reception at Publicis Modem in New York was really fun and I spotted artists Wonder Lee, Ari Lankin and Jeremy Penn in the crowd.
