Jeff Soto

The Jonathan Levine Gallery in New York has a trio of great art shows happening simultaneously at their gallery.  The shows have a little something for everyone.  On display are the extremely detailed and very colorful works of Jeff Soto in the exhibit “Decay and Overgrowth.”

Audrey Kawasaki

Audrey Kawasaki

Next is “Midnight Reverie” by Audrey Kawasaki featuring geometric images on wood.

Judith Supine

Judith Supine

Last and certainly not least, is street artist Judith Supine’s “Too Much For One Man.”  Until writing this blog post, I had no idea that Judith Supine is actually a man who adopted a female moniker in order to stay anonymous.  It fooled me!

All 3 of these exhibits are on view at Jonathan Levine (520 West 20th Street, 9th Floor) in New York through October 6, 2012.

Lifecycle by Jeff Soto. Now at the Jonathan LeVine Gallery in NYC through July 24, 2010.

I would have loved Jeff Soto’s latest exhibit “Lifecycle,” even if he didn’t share the same name as me and wasn’t from my native Southern California (Fullerton is in the house!).  Those factoids just add to my love of his work.  This is Soto’s 3rd solo show at the Jonathan LeVine Gallery in New York and the worlds that he paints make you want to dive in and get lost forever.  Jeff Soto uses symbolism and metaphors in this latest exhibit that deals with the themes of life, death, relationships and everything in between and each painting is seasoned with his trademark images of phantasmagorical apparitions.  As I mentioned previously, Jeff Soto has made a really cool outdoor mural a couple of blocks away from the Jonathan LeVine Gallery, so make sure you check it out when you go to see this exhibit!   The Jonathan LeVine Gallery in located at 529 West 20th Street #9E in New York.  “Lifecycle” by Jeff Soto runs through July 24, 2010.

See some more of Jeff’s mindblowing work after the jump.

Jeff Soto on the streets of Chelsea.

Native Southern Californian (hey Fullerton, what’s up!), Jeff Soto has a new art show at the Jonathan Levine Gallery (more to come on that amazing exhibit soon – stay tuned), and to celebrate, a few blocks away, Jeff Soto has left this image for all to enjoy.  Thanks Jeff – I love it!  I am really bummed I missed out on the opening of his exhibit, but I was off at the Creators Project seeing Interpol and Mark Ronson.  It was a tough choice!
