After the incredibly talented JANELLE MONAE left the stage at Jones Beach, New York, rockers PARAMORE came out and warmed the crowd up for the main attaction, NO DOUBT.

Janelle Monae - Do you wanna get funky?
Singer JANELLE MONAE opened for PARAMORE and NO DOUBT tonight in Jones Beach, New York and all I can say is, this is one funky woman! She got her start singing with OUTKAST on the track “Call The Law” from the album “Idlewild,” and now she’s released her solo debut: “Metropolis: The Chase Suite.”
Smile - Dedicated to Michael Jackson
She stood up on a stool and dedicated the song “Smile,” to the late Michael Jackson. The crowd erupted with cheers at the conclusion of this song and Janelle got off her stool and moonwalked in Michael’s honor.

Trent Reznor of Nine Inch Nails has set up a website to commemorate his “Wave Goodbye” Tour with Jane’s Addiction and Street Sweeper. If you act now, you can get a free, 6-track mp3 sampler featuring 2 songs by each band. Go here, give them your email address and happy downloading. This almost makes up for the fact that he didn’t perform “Closer” when I saw NIN at Jones Beach on June 7. All is forgiven though as I took some pretty cool photos.
