Several years ago, I had one of my worst encounters and unfortunately, it was with one of my favorites. I am happy to report that 2 years on, all is forgiven. All’s well that ends well.

Bueller… Bueller…
Though Matthew Broderick is best remembered for playing Ferris Bueller, I count “War Games” and “Election” amongst my top Matthew movies. Mr. Sarah Jessica Parker (sorry, I couldn’t resist) is starring on Broadway in the play “Nice Work if You Can Get It” and that’s where I met the star. He was very accommodating to fans and autograph seekers after the play was over, and according2g, that’s a winning combo! Thanks Matthew!

I love Seal! I met the singer as he was in town for 2 shows at New York’s Beacon Theatre. If you’ve not seen Seal live, you are doing your ears a great disservice as he sounds amazing in concert! When I met Seal, he could not have been nicer and I had quite a few of his albums with me that I asked him to sign. He was impressed with my collection and he humbly said “I think I owe you some money.” Ha! I’m happy to spend my money on great music! Thanks so much Seal for all the great songs – past, present and future and for being so extremely cool!

Rapper Nas’ latest album “Life is Good” came out on July 17, 2012 and he celebrated the release by stopping by The Colbert Report in NYC. Surrounded by a horde of fans, Nas did his best to accommodate his fans by signing autographs as he left the building. Shockingly, in the mob scene, I was the only person that had his new album (which features a duet with Amy Winehouse!) As he signed autographs, people were literally just pushing shit in his face. I tried asking for a picture several times, but it was just too mobbed. One of his friends saw that I was not aggressively trying to get the photo and right before Nas left the property, his friend said to Nas “is it ok if this guy (me) approaches the car for a photo?” Nas agreed and the results are above. I love when stuff like that happens! It doesn’t always pay to be an aggressive asshole in these kind of situations and this is proof. That’s your lesson of the day, according2g. And thanks Nas for being so cool!
