K Ishibashi of Jupiter One and G.
At the Jupiter One show at Maxwell’s in Hoboken, New Jersey, I met lead singer K Ishibashi. He was super cool. If you don’t know Jupiter One’s music, the indie-pop band has really catchy tunes such as “Countdown,” which will have you hitting the repeat button. I encourage you to check out their music. G thanks K for being cool and putting on a great show.

K Ishibashi of Jupiter One
On March 26, 2010, New York based band Jupiter One played a sold out show at the legendary venue Maxwell’s in Hoboken, New Jersey. I discovered this band when I purchased a cd from Amazon.com and they suggested that based on my musical preferences, I might enjoy Jupiter One. Sight unseen, I purchased their self-titled debut album and on the first listen, I was instantly hooked. They have catchy indie-pop songs that have a little bit of a new wave and rock feel. I especially recommend the song “Countdown,” as it’s one that I play over and over again. I think that once you hear that song, you’ll be making some Jupiter One CD/mp3 purchases. Their second album “Sunshower” was released in September of 2009 and it’s just as good as their debut. The liner notes to both of their albums do not feature any pictures of the band, so when I saw them take the stage at Maxwell’s, it was a nice surprise to see what they look like. Their hour long set featured all the songs you’d be dying to hear live and for their last song, they were joined on stage by the members of their two opening acts Heypenny and Kyle Andrews.
