British singer Kate Nash played a sold out show at New York’s Bowery Ballroom on March 26, 2013.  This was my first experience seeing her live and I loved what I saw.  Performing for nearly 2 hours, the pop princess is a bit more punk now and she showed the crowd she knows how to rock.  Before the show was over, she played hits such as “Do-Wah-Do,” “Foundations,” and a cover of Meredith Brooks’ “Bitch,” for which Kate Nash sang most of the song after jumping into the audience and partying with the crowd.

One of the highlights of the show for me were the stories she told in between songs.  You felt like you were at the pub having a drink with a friend as she told stories such as having to borrow toilet paper from the next cubicle over at an awards show, a crazy speech she made at an the same awards show, her last tour that she went on with a broken foot and the inspirations behind many of her songs.  I met Kate after her show and she was a sweet heart, who was happy to sign my cds and hugged me for sticking around.  My pleasure Kate!  Kate Nash performs at Music Hall of Williamsburg in Brooklyn tonight (March 27, 2013).  Don’t miss her!

See the set list after the jump.
