G with Demetra and Eleni Simos live on Top Shelf Network
It’s always a pleasure to be on the other side of an interview. The other night at the opening night party for Borbay’s exhibit “#KingsOfHipHop,” I was interviewied by the lovely Demetra and Eleni Simos of Top Shelf Network. Top Shelf Network is s a web-based television network that covers a wide variety of topics from Sports, Entertainment News, Popular Culture, Comic Books, Technology and Film. Produced out of New York City, TopShelf Network Inc. [TSN] shows feature a wide range of webcast personalities, celebrities, authors, comic book enthusiasts, and media experts. We talked about two of my favorite topics – art and music. It was such a blast.

Kanye West Eyes More Red Than The Devil Is by Borbay
New York based artist Borbay is back with his latest exhibit – #KingsOfHipHop. Borbay has paid homage to 7 kings of Hip Hop: Kayne West, Dr. Dre, Lil Wayne, Eminem, Snoop Dogg, P. Diddy and Jay-Z. He juxtaposes the concept of social media with the printed word. His criteria for selecting the 7 kings included the artists being big proponents of social media but also with an entrepreneurial spirit. Each piece captures the essence of the subject both visually and textually – both in their music and their real life antics. The opening night reception at Publicis Modem in New York was really fun and I spotted artists Wonder Lee, Ari Lankin and Jeremy Penn in the crowd.

#KingsOfHipHop by Borbay runs through October 15, 2011 at Publicis Modem (located at 85 Tenth Avenue, 3rd Floor in New York). Don’t miss it. After the jump see a photo of Borbay and G!
