Kris Kuksi - Revival

Kris Kuksi – Revival

If you’ve never seen Kris Kuksi’s work in person, you are doing your eyes and soul a great disservice.  His works are nearly impossible to photograph as there are hundreds, if not thousands, of miniature characters, structures and stories within stories that your brain will create as you look at his extremely intricate sculptures.  His latest exhibit “Revival” at Joshua Liner Gallery in Manhattan is no exception.

Even the detail photos can’t capture the epic quality of these sculptures.  There’s really not much more I can say other than, you need to see these works of art with your own eyes!

“Triumph” by Kris Kuksi

"Triumph" by Kris Kuksi. Now showing at Joshua Liner Gallery in New York through April 7, 2012.

Kris Kuksi’s latest exhibit “Triumph” at Joshua Liner Gallery in New York is just that.  The Kansas native creates worlds within worlds within worlds in his sculptures that need to be seen to be believed… and even then, the precision and detail are unbelievable!  Attached to each sculpture are hundreds, if not thousands, of objects including soldiers (in all sizes – and some are smaller than the fingernail on your pinky), flags, horses and various mechanical parts.  Pictures cannot do the exhibit justice, and again even seeing the works with your own eyes will make your head explode with questions ranging from “how did he make that” to ” where does he get the objects” to “how are these fragile works transported?”

All I can say is – WOW!  See this amazing exhibit with your own eyes as “Triumph” by Kris Kuksi is showing at Joshua Liner Gallery (located at 548 West 28th Street, 3rd Floor) in New York through April 7, 2012.
