New York’s own Mickalene Thomas has a new exhibit at Lehmann Maupin in her home city.  Entitled, “Tête de Femme,” the show features Thomas exploring the intricacies of a woman’s beauty via collage.

The title “Tête de Femme” means “head of a woman” when translated into English.

Touched at Lehmann Maupin in NYC. Now showing through August 13, 2010.

Lehmann Maupin in New York has a great exhibition called “Touched” that is currently showing.  This exhibit is a mixed media presentation of painting, ceramics, sculpture and works with paper that is a treat for the eyes.  The artists featured in the exhibit are Noriko Ambe, Klara Kristalova, Brett Lund, Maria Nepomuceno, Angel Otero, and Allison Schulnik and their works, as you can see above and below are very interesting.  See some more images of “Touched” after the jump.

“Touched” runs through August 13, 2010 and Lehmann Maupin is located at 540 West 26th Street in New York.
