Lily Allen singing "Fuck You" on stage in New York on 4/20/09.
Lily Allen is taking a break from music for awhile to open a clothing shop in her native England. The Sun is reporting that Lily’s adventures from being a pop goddess to shop owner will be chronicled in a new reality TV show. No other details are available at this time, but if the show is anything like Lily Allen’s performances, this will be highly entertaining.

Lily Allen live at the Roseland Ballroom - April 20, 2009
NME have confirmed that Lily Allen is going to take a 1 to 2 year break from music as soon as she wraps up her current tour. She plans on starting a record label, where she’ll scout and sign new talent and do some other behind the scenes stuff. But as we all know, a lot of musicians make similar promises and get bored quickly, so we hope the same will be true for Lily Allen.
I saw Lily Allen earlier this year and all I kept hearing is that she is a drunken mess on stage. Yes, she was drinking (and smoking) throughout the entire set, but she was very connected with the audience – telling jokes and even holding a cheesecake eating competition. She got through the entire set with no problems and just for kicks, closed the show with an awesome version of Britney Spears’ “Womanizer” that brought the house down. Come back Lily, we miss you already!
