Lou Reed
Someone has been taking a walk on the wild side and tagging a bunch of things in Manhattan with the moniker Lou Reed. I am going out on a limb and saying it’s not the same Lou Reed that sang “Venus in Furs.” If it turns out that it is the same Lou Reed, that will be pretty frickin’ cool.
Also, if you enlarge the picture you’ll see that someone also wrote Tara Reid on the door.
Did you read that right?

Metallica and Lou Reed on stage in October 2009
Holy rock and roll! In 2009, Metallica and Lou Reed performed together for the 25th anniversary of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. For those wondering, they performed “White Light, White Heat” and “Sweet Jane.” The rockers have just announced they were inspired by this performance enough to record a full album together. As of press time, there is no word what it will contain or when the release date is, but Metallica have confirmed the sessions are finished and a full album has been recorded! Wow!

Seated: Laurie Anderson and Lou Reed
Happy 69th birthday to the Velvet Underground’s lead singer Lou Reed. I love his music so much and unfortunately my encounters with the singer have not proven to be very positive. I love him anyway. I’ll definitely listen to “Sunday Morning,” “Heroin,” “Rock and Roll,” “Perfect Day” and “Vicious” today in Lou’s honor. Perhaps maybe old man grumpus will even crack a smile today! Happy birthday Lou!

After the jump, see proof that Lou Reed from the Velvet Underground is able to flex those muscles in his mouth and smiles! There are some images that contain sea-nudity, so if you have a closed mind, do not read any further!
