I felt a huge sense of pride as I discovered this mural by Nick Walker on September 11.  I love New York too!  To think that 11 years ago on that horrible day, not only was I living in Los Angeles, but I’d never even visited New York let alone thought that one day I would be living here.  It was quite a powerful moment for me.

BEAU’s Frida Kahlo mural in the Lower East Side of New York is stopping traffic.  A sun and skull are hovering over the legendary artist as the mural evolves.  It’s really fun to stand by the mural on 2nd Avenue and 3rd Street and watch people’s reactions as they pass by.  I cannot guarantee the artist will be there as you pass by, but I can tell you he’s going to be an art star sooner rather than later.  Mark my words.

Love this!  I spotted this great mural of Frida Kahlo by BEAU at a convenience store in the Lower East Side.  You know what else is convenient?  Running into the artist whilst in mid-photo and having a good chat.  For those wondering, BEAU is doing just great.

Stay up, brother!

Dima Mural!

This mural by Dima in the Lower East Side is so awesome!  It’s been up for a long time, so this is not really breaking news, but it’s so cool, I had to share.  Sharing is caring and Dima fkn rocks!

Check out more great stuff from Dima here.

Beau Knows the Lower East Side

I think it’s safe to say, Beau is one of the most prolific artists in New York at the moment.  On a recent trip to the Lower East Side, I took some photos of places he’s visited.  Beau is one of the hottest street artists around right now and I am loving what I keep seeing on my travels.  You can think of these images as ‘Beau Trading Cards.’  Collect them all!

See more work from Beau in every size, shape and color after the jump.
