Maripol and G
Maripol is a legend! In addition to having her Polaroid pictures of some of the biggest stars in the world exhibited all over the globe, she is responsible for the looks of another one word celebrity – Madonna. Maripol styled Madonna’s first and second albums (the debut self-titled album and “Like A Virgin”) that inspired legions of Madonna-wannabees across the globe. She’s directed videos for Elton John and Cher and produced “Downtown 81” with Jean-Michel Basquiat. I met her at a party celebrating the release of her awesome coffee table book Maripol: Little Red Riding Hood. She was extremely nice and she was very receptive to me taking the picture of the two of us. You never know how a photographer is going to react. Thanks again Maripol!
