For the second time in under a month, I’ve proven that Twitter is not completely useless! If you want the Holy Ghost remix of the Mark Ronson produced song “Somebody To Love Me,” featuring vocals by Andrew Wyatt (of Miike Snow) and Boy George, go to this site, simply retweet the message, and get a free download link. Both the album version (from Ronson’s amazing “Record Collection”) as well as the remix are must-haves, so I highly recommend you do this! You can follow me @according2g on Twitter if you just can’t get enough G action.
One of music’s next superstars, MNDR, has some good news! Hot on the heels of having NME’s #1 single for 6 weeks in a row (“Bang Bang Bang”) and touring with Mark Ronson and the Business Int’l, MNDR is offering a free mp3 of “Caligula (The Cold Remix)” on her website. All you have to do is sign up on her mailing list! I think that’s a pretty fair exchange. In addition, MNDR will be doing her first headlining gig in London on November 24, 2010 at XOYO. Ticket info and mp3 can be found on MNDR’s official website – HERE.
A2G loves MNDR. MNDR loves A2G. A2g LVS that MNDR is BCMNG a BGSTR. MNDR is currently on tour in Mark Ronson’s band The Business Int’l and the show was so great! I am already having MNDR and Mark Ronson withdrawal, but videos like this one of MNDR and Mark performing MNDR’s songs “Sparrow” and “Fade to Black” help to fix me right up. This is from Music Hall of Williamsburg on October 11, 2010.
On October 12, 2010, I attended a very exclusive performance by Mark Ronson and the Business Int’l at New York’s Greene Space. The show was recorded live for a webcast. Mark Ronson was interviewed about his fantastic new album “Record Collection,” and he talked briefly about the irony of Simon LeBon of Duran Duran singing the lyrics “I only want to be in your record collection,” on the title track as Duran Duran were one of the most successful bands of the 1980s so the chances of his music being in your record collection are great! Speaking of Duran Duran, I asked Mark Ronson after the performance about the new Duran Duran album and he said that it’s hopefully going to be out at the end of 2010 or early 2011! I am so excited!! The band performed “Bang Bang Bang” (with vocals by MNDR and Spank Rock),
MNDR
“Hey Boy” (with vocals by Rose Elinor Dougall and Spank Rock),
Rose Elinor Dougall
and “The Bike Song” (with vocals by Alex Greenwald and Spank Rock).

After seeing the band several times in the last couple of days, I am already having withdrawls! I love them all so much. Speaking of Mark Ronson, watch the video for “Somebody To Love Me” (featuring vocals by Boy George and Andrew Wyatt of Miike Snow) here.
On October 11, 2010, Mark Ronson and the Business Int’l played a really great show at Music Hall of Williamsburg in New York. I was fortunate enough to capture a live rendition of two of my favorite Ronson tracks. First is “You Gave Me Nothing” from Ronson’s latest album “Record Collection.” The studio version features vocals by Rose Elinor Dougall and Miike Snow’s Andrew Wyatt. The second song is the Smiths cover of “Stop Me If You Think You’ve Heard This One Before” from Ronson’s “Version” album. The studio version of that featured vocals by Daniel Merriwether. Both of these tracks are sung live by Rose Elinor Dougall and Phantom Planet’s Alex Greenwald.
