"World Tour" by Peter Blake. Now showing at the Mary Ryan Gallery in NYC through June 18, 2011
Peter Blake is known as the Godfather of Pop Art. He designed the cover art for the iconic “Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band” by the Beatles. The British artist’s latest exhibition “World Tour,” marks his 3rd solo exhibit in New York since 1962. Using digital technology, including computer manipulation, scanning and ink jet printing, Peter Blake pays tribute to New York, Venice, Paris and Los Angeles in his colorful and whimsical collages.

You will not want to miss seeing these wonderful works in person. The detail alone will make you get lost in the worlds Peter Blake has reimagined. Head over to the Mary Ryan Gallery, located at 527 West 26th Street in New York and take in Blake’s “World Tour.” “World Tour” by Peter Blake runs until June 18, 2011.

If you haven’t seen Josh Dorman’s art work, go to his website immediately! His art is so awesome! I had the pleasure of meeting Josh Dorman at the Mary Ryan Gallery in New York’s Chelsea area and he was super nice. His work was just featured in an exhibit there, and sadly the exhibit has just come to a close. He mixes ink, acrylic and antique maps in his unique style. If you missed this incredible show, you’ll have to settle for some pictures that I took after the jump (and don’t forget, you can see larger versions on his website). Thanks for being so cool Josh!
UPDATE: The exhibit has been extended through February 6, 2010 – so drop what you are doing and GO SEE IT NOW!!!!
