Video: Scissor Sisters vs. Kylie Minogue

The Scissor Sisters know how to throw a dance party!  On February 4, 2011, Jake Shears and Ana Matronic, two of our beloved Scissor Sisters, were doing a very rare DJ set at the Museum of Natural History in New York.  It was a super fun night watching Jake and Ana shake their groove things on stage while the entire museum danced our asses off.  Every song they played was thumping and it was definitely a great way to see my friend BB3 usher in his birthday (and have a very happy birthday BB3)! One of the songs we were treated to was a mashup of the Scissor Sisters’ “Invisible Light” mashed up with Kylie Minogue’s “Can’t Get You Out Of My Head.”  The video you are about to see is admittedly not the greatest, but where else are you going to hear this great remix?  The answer of course is According2g.com.  Check in daily for the very best of the music and art scene in New York!

On stage:  Jake Shears, Ana Matronic and DJ Sammy Jo.  Get ready to throw yourself a silent rave!

Can’t get the invisible light out of my head!

A message from Army of One

If you complain once more... you'll meet an Army of One!

“Our factory is prepared for an assault on the senses every nite .. We search the streets for anything we can use for our art, our message, our destiny and our saviour……….I am prepared to face authority and condemnation from the new world order, in order to save a child from the streets and ravages of poverty, …disease and war, our images are a metaphor for pain and ignorance to a childs plight, the innocence lost, on political corruption, religious vagrants and corporate greed, Army of One may never end war , poverty nor disease thru our grass roots meanderings and art. But we will bring it to the forefront of American Disgrace.  This Cause i have dedicated my rebirth too.  We who run with the night……………We who are given the vision…………….
We are responsible not to lay down with complacency and mediocrity…………….

We are the new visionaries
……..
Our path is clear- jc2”

On August 5, 2010 at Webster Hall, Kelis covered Madonna’s classic “Holiday” and then sang her own classic “Milkshake.”

And it looked a little something like this… Hit it!

Jim Joe Mashups

Jim Joe + Beau = Jim Beau

This is rapidly becoming my favorite doorway of all time.  Street artists Jim Joe and Beau have collaborated (perhaps not totally willingly) on this latest image you can see above.  I couldn’t stop laughing when I saw it.

Pussy Ham says "Jim Joe."

I think Pussy Ham has a little crush on fellow street artist Jim Joe.  I’ve never seen what Jim Joe looks like in person, but my eyes have seen Beau and Pussy Ham let me tell you, Beau is a total babe! I think you should set your sites on him.
