The back story of street artist Judith Supine is quite interesting.  He was unable to speak until the age of 17 and he adopted his mother’s maiden name as a persona and for the duration of his career has kept his actual identity hidden.  Until now!  At his exhibit “Golden Child” at MECKA Gallery in Brooklyn, the artist showed his face for the first time.  And a good looking face it is.

The exhibit is located in the heart of Brooklyn (read: far for Manhattanites), but if you are a lover of street art, it will be worth the trek.  Unfortunately, it’s unclear if this exhibit is a one night only affair or not (read: if you want free publicity or people to show up, you should at least put the who, where, what on your goddamned website!)

The opening night party was awesome and at it, I spotted artists Icy and Sot, Insurgency Inc., WK Interact and Anthony Michael Sneed.

A "hidden" work

A “hidden” work in the exhibit.  Location unknown.

Speaking of Anthony Michael Sneed, whose work I am a huge fan of, he was kind enough to take a photo of Judith Supine and myself.  Full disclosure:  I attempted a selfie but Judith is tall and I am very short and the photo I took was a hot mess!

See what Judith Supine looks like, after the jump!
