Mika!
According2g would like to wish a very happy 27th birthday to singer Mika. I’ve seen Mika live a bunch of times and he’s always great. He’s got a voice that sounds like Jake Shears and Freddie Mercury had a love child. I loved his debut album “Life In Cartoon Motion” and his sophomore album “The Boy Who Knew Too Much” was a bit disappointing as it sounded to me like he was covering his older songs with different lyrics. The man is extremely talented and I have high hopes for album number three. Have a happy day Mika!

G's top albums of the decade - Part 2.
Here’s the long awaited second installment of my favorite albums of the decade. It’s hard to see from the above picture, but I was fortunate enough to get 7 out of these 9 albums autographed (the two exceptions are Radiohead and MGMT), and I saw all of these bands/singers live on the tours promoting these albums. Thanks universe! Again, these are not in order because I love them all. Read more after the jump.

Mika!
On October 16, 2009, Mika played a sold out show at the United Palace Theater. I was on hand for the festivities as Mika played songs from his albums “Life In Cartoon Motion” and “The Boy Who Knew Too Much.” The audience was comprised mostly of screaming teenage girls, and Mika gave them a lot to scream about. He dances all over the stage – barefoot – while making everybody enjoy his crafty pop songs. If you don’t know his music, he’s got a little bit of Freddie Mercury meets Jake Shears in his voice. I was very happy when he played “Pick Up Off The Floor” and “Love Today” and he also performed hits “Grace Kelly,” “Lollipop,” “We Are Golden,” and “Billy Brown,” plus new songs “Dr. John,” “Rain,” and “Blame it on the Girls.”
Enjoy some more pictures of Mika and see the set list after the jump.
