You can almost feel Morrissey’s disapproving glance staring at you as you read this post about a sticker I found that bears his name.

Today is not a good day to be a fan of McDonalds. Not only are stickers like the one above being posted all over New York, but also, Franz Ferdinand’s singer Alex Kapranos is fuming mad because his label has sold one of the band’s songs to a McDonalds commercial. He has called his label, and I quote: ‘arrogant motherfucking pig-brained arseholes.’ You can read Alex’s full rant here. If Morrissey ever smiled, he’d surely be flexing those muscles now.

G's Top 9 albums of 2009
I can’t believe the year 2009 is almost over. December marks the time to look back on the high and low lights of the year we are about to finish.
2009 was a pretty lackluster year for music and it seems that each year gets worse, but never fear – I was still able to come up with my favorite 9 albums of 2009. I’ll take them row by row as pictured above. Read my thoughts after the jump.

Last night (October 24, 2009) in Swindon, England, Morrissey kicked off a new tour, but sadly collapsed on stage during the opening number (This Charming Man.) Witnesses said that he looked strained as he took the stage, but he attempted to carry on. Before the song was over, he collapsed to his knees, the curtains went down and he was taken to hospital. He’s in stable condition. He’s scheduled to perform tonight but there’s no word if he’s well enough to continue the tour. Get well soon Moz!
