I discovered Ministry’s dance classic “I Wanted to Tell Her” way after the fact and I think if I would have known the song when it was new in 1982, it would have changed my world view! I can’t get enough of the song. I’ve heard that Al Jourgensen has disowned the song and album “With Sympathy,” which is a pity because that album contains some amazing and groundbreaking dance music. Knowing the complete 180 that Ministry would make in their sound, it’s even more interesting to see their transformation. I digress. I’ve been hoping someone would bring this song back to the spotlight where it belongs because it’s such an underrated classic. Great news! Holy Ghost! has covered the song! Even better, they are collaborating with Nancy Whang (of LCD Soundsystem) and Juan Maclean (of The Juan Maclean). For a limited time, download an mp3 of Holy Ghost!’s take on “I Wanted To Tell Her.”
