Thom Yorke preparing for "the crash"

Radiohead’s Thom Yorke is predicting the music industry will crash in “months, not years,” according to an interview he gave to a school textbook earlier this week.  He urges up and coming musicians to self-release music so as not to be tied to contracts that will enslave artists once the business finally erodes.  The music industry has reportedly lost $2.7 Billion each year due to slipping sales and music piracy.  Not once is it mentioned that lackluster releases are the cause of the failing business.

I have a lot of friends that are in the music industry, so for their sake, I hope Yorke’s premonition does not come to pass; however, as I’ve been predicting, the state of the world is so messed up right now that without some major priority shifts, darker times will be happening long before golden days.
