The Night You Left” by Nir Hod

Too cool for words.  Artist Nir Hod’s latest work are a set of coasters entitled “the Night You Left.”  These mirrored coasters are lined with digitally printed white powder to look like lines of cocaine.  Genius!  You are guaranteed to get any party started if you put these coasters out as they are a guaranteed conversation starter. A set of coasters is only $95 from The Paul Kasmin Store and you can get this functional must have work of art at this link (which will open in a new window).

Wampa Rug!

I went to a party tonight to celebrate Wired Magazine’s Pop-Up Store in the former location of the East Village Tower Records (RIP).  The store was cool, there was free beer and crisps, but the place was filled to the brim with the biggest bunch of wankers I’ve ever seen.  The Worley Gig’s Gail Worley and I found a hipster-free zone and I was still having a miserable time when Gail pointed to the above image.  As I got closer, the night suddenly went from zero to hero as I saw the coolest item EVER:  A Wampa rug!  If you haven’t seen Empire Strikes Back, you might not understand the coolness, but for us Star Wars die-hards, I’m sure you are probably smiling from ear to ear right now.  The rug is $99 and can be yours through Think Geek’s official website.
