The Drums have released a one-off, non-album track called “the New World.” All proceeds will go to disaster relief for Japan. You can download the track from I-Tunes or from The Drums’ official site. In other Drums news, they are working on their second album. No release date is set as of press time.
Wild Beasts are back! Their new single “Albatross” will be available for a limited time on the band’s Facebook page beginning March 9, 2011. The single will be taken from Wild Beasts’ 3rd album “Smother” which will come out on May 9, 2011. If you can’t wait until March 9 for the free download, you can stream the track on NME.
If you head over to Kylie Minogue’s official website, you can see a 30 second trailer for some pretty big news. The Australian pop goddess has announced her new single “All The Lovers” will be released on June 28, 2010. Her 11th studio album “Aphrodite” will be released a few days later on July 5, 2010. This is not to be confused with the amazing photos from Aphrodite In New York; however if you check our her Flickr page, you can see some truly magnificent pictures to feed your Kylie fix until late June.
Head on over to the Scissor Sisters official website to hear their new track “Invisible Light,” which will be taken from their 3rd album which has finally been given a name and a release date. The album will be called “Night Work,” and comes out (pun definitely intended) on June 28, 2010. The album cover features a juicy Robert Mapplethorpe picture. Hopefully there will be some equally revealing pictures inside the booklet. Let us know what you think of the new track. I’m definitely excited!
