Unfortunately, this video is pretty dark as Francis and the Lights ironically performed mostly in the dark.  However, he played a new song for the sold out crowd at SOB’s in New York on August 12, 2010 called “Betting on Us,” and unlike other websites who repost videos that are available on numerous sites and call them “premieres,” this site is the real deal.

Until I hear otherwise, I am calling this song “Take Control,” which was world premiered by Thom Yorke on April 5, 2010 at New York’s Roseland Ballroom.  Update:  This song is being known as “Chris Hodges/Let Me Take Control” and also “A Walk Down the Staircase.”  At any rate, here’s the video for this mysterious song. Someone bumped into me midway through the song so the video jumps in one part, but I think you can forgive that as you won’t hear this song anywhere else!  Enjoy, dear readers and thanks for your patronage!  Please come back daily for the latest in the art and music world. I appreciate it!  Enjoy!

The sound quality is not great, but I still encourage you to watch this Jake-a-licious clip of Scissor Sisters singing their new song “Any Which Way” live from the Bowery Ballroom on March 17, 2010 in New York.  I am very excited for their 3rd album which is scheduled for release in July 2010.   Enjoy!

Eye No!

Minneapolis radio station The Current will be debuting a new Prince song on 2/26/10 at 7 am.  The song is called “Cause and Effect” and it’s reported that the song will not suck anywhere nearly as bad as his last offering “Purple and Gold.”

The pictures above and below are from Mr. Brainwash’s current New York exhibit Icons.  The art was made entirely out of pieces of broken records.  There is no confirmation that Brainwash shattered all of the Purple One’s output in the 2000s to make these fantastic pieces.

My name is Prince and I'm an Icon!

I’ve been a life long Prince fan.  I’ve stuck with him through name changes, conservative religious beliefs and mediocre attempts to reclaim his purple throne.  He’s written a song for the Minnesota Vikings to be its new “fight song.”  I think it’s very possibly the worst song he’s ever released.  You can hear it here.  If you can make it all the way though, please tell me what you think.
