I love Mark Ronson. I love MNDR. I love when they sing together. This is the title track from Mark Ronson and The Business Int’l’s amazing album “Record Collection.” The studio version’s chorus is sung by Duran Duran’s Simon LeBon.
A2G loves MNDR. MNDR loves A2G. A2g LVS that MNDR is BCMNG a BGSTR. MNDR is currently on tour in Mark Ronson’s band The Business Int’l and the show was so great! I am already having MNDR and Mark Ronson withdrawal, but videos like this one of MNDR and Mark performing MNDR’s songs “Sparrow” and “Fade to Black” help to fix me right up. This is from Music Hall of Williamsburg on October 11, 2010.
On October 11, 2010, Mark Ronson and the Business Int’l played a really great show at Music Hall of Williamsburg in New York. I was fortunate enough to capture a live rendition of two of my favorite Ronson tracks. First is “You Gave Me Nothing” from Ronson’s latest album “Record Collection.” The studio version features vocals by Rose Elinor Dougall and Miike Snow’s Andrew Wyatt. The second song is the Smiths cover of “Stop Me If You Think You’ve Heard This One Before” from Ronson’s “Version” album. The studio version of that featured vocals by Daniel Merriwether. Both of these tracks are sung live by Rose Elinor Dougall and Phantom Planet’s Alex Greenwald.
What can’t Alex Greenwald do? He’s modeled for The Gap, acted in the film Donnie Darko (playing bully Seth Devlin) and has been in bands such as Phantom Planet. These days he’s working on solo projects and collaborating with Mark Ronson! He sang on the Radiohead cover “Just” on Ronson’s “Version” album and co-wrote most of the songs on “Record Collection,” Mark Ronson and The Business Int’ls latest album. He sings on “The Night Last Night,” the final track on the album and it’s awesome! When I met Alex, he was extremely nice and I am very thankful! A video of Alex Greenwald and Rose Elinor Dougall singing “You Gave Me Nothing” and “Stop Me” from their performance at Music Hall of Williamsburg will be coming soon and it’s awesome, so stay tuned. Thanks again Alex!
“Bang Bang Bang” is an international smash! The Mark Ronson produced track features vocals by MNDR as well as Q-Tip on the studio version but on October 11, 2010, Spank Rock filled in for Q-Tip. This performance is from Music Hall of Williamsburg in New York and it was so great!
