New York! You have two final chances to see Danish pop sensation Oh Land perform tracks from her self titled debut album in an art gallery. At the Charles Bank Gallery, Oh Land and artist Eske Kath have teamed up for a live installation entitled “Welcome to Oh Land.” Eske Kath designed the cover art for the album and the singer is performing a 4 night residency at the gallery in front of the art. Backed with a string section, Oh Land is performing “picnic versions” of tracks from her album and it was a very fun experience. Thanks to A Heart is A Spade for guest list action. The Charles Bank Gallery is located at 196 Bowery in Manhattan. Remaining performances are on March 31 and April 1, 2011 at 8:30 PM. My suggestion is to get there early because the entry line tends to wrap around the block. If you can’t make it, it’s a pity, but here’s a sample of what you’re missing out on. Below, see the “picnic version” of Oh Land’s “White Nights.” Enjoy!

On March 8, 2011, Danish pop sensation Oh Land opened for OMD’s first US tour in 23 years. Though Oh Land is pretty new on the scene, this was my second time seeing her perform and I think she just gets better and better. Her songs are so catchy, she has a great stage presence and she’s extremely pleasurable on the eyes.
