According2g would like to wish a happy birthday to cabaret diva and Our Hit Parade goddess Bridget Everett.  If you have not had the pleasure of seeing Bridget live, here’s what you can expect:  Bridget singing creative versions of some of your favorite songs, side-splitting comedy and occasionally she’ll get partially naked for you.  Our Hit Parade happens once a month at the legendary Joe’s Pub in New York, so come check it out – it’s fabulous!  Thanks for posing with me Bridget and many happy returns!

Neil Medlyn and Bridget Everett - Our Hit Parade

Another reason to love New York is for nights like January 27, 2010 where at Joe’s Pub, you can see a show like “Our Hit Parade.” Creators Neal Medlyn and Bridget Everett have put on this monthly show where they reinterpret songs that you all know and love.  Tonight’s theme was the top ten songs in the United States.  The songs are dramatically altered from their original versions and you are guaranteed to leave the Pub clutching your stomach from laughing so hard.  They were joined with a little help from their all-star friends such as Cole Escola (of Jeffery and Cole’s Casserole), Kenny Mellman, Amber Martin, PJ Deboy and the Beastie Boys’ Adam Horovitz (Aka Ad-Rock).

Tonight at Joe’s Pub in New York’s East Village, all of our favorite stars got together for Our Hit Parade to perform a tribute concert to our dearly departed Michael Jackson.  Grade A performers Lady Rizo, Murray Hill, Amber Martin, Neal Medlyn, Bridget Everett and of course, Alan Cumming were all on stage to perform renditions of their favorite Michael Jackson songs.
