Los Angeles based indie, low-fi rock band Active Child played a sold out show at New York’s Bowery Ballroom on September 10, 2011.  For those that have never heard Active Child before, you’re in for a treat.  Lead singer Pat Grossi’s voice is operatic in nature and the 3 piece band plays mellow rock that features Grossi also on harp!  Every song is epic and sweeping, and it’s easy to get lost in Pat Grossi’s heavenly vocals.  Opening sets by dub stepper Com Truise and the electronic instrumental band Young Athletes League started the night off to a great start and Active Child finished it out by performing a mesmerizing show.

Fans of Radiohead will probably like Active Child and I can say that I was turned into a fan before the night was over.  The setlist contained songs from their new album “You Are All I See” which is out now.

See the set list after the jump.
