I didn’t think that we were treated at all with the respect that we deserved, not even the respect as saying ‘we’re an important punk band,’ but respect that we’re human beings”…

On February 10, 2011, punk rockers Titus Andronicus played a benefit for the Willie Mae Rock Camp for Girls at New York’s Mercury Lounge. The camp allows girls to learn the ins and outs of playing music and I was very happy to support such a great cause. Of course, standing in the front row at a punk show, I forgot one thing – I dislike being moshed on!
I had fun and I met lead singer Patrick Stickles prior to the show. As you will see from the photo we took together, he’s a really cool guy.
