On November 24, 2010 Free Energy headlined a trio of awesome bands (the other two bands on the bill being Foxy Shazam and Hollerado) at Bowery Ballroom in New York.  They went onstage around 11 pm (for those seeing them in a few days at MHOW).  Their music has a 70s rock feeling to it and I’ve often seen their music being compared to The Cars and Journey.  According2g, that’s a great thing!  The band has shared the stage with Weezer and their album logo of a Chuck Taylor shoe having stepped in gum (the album is called “Stuck To You”) is great.  Lead singer Paul Sprangers thanked the crowd many times for rockin’ out with them on Wednesday and the crowd returned the love.  Free Energy will be playing at Music Hall of Williamsburg on November 26, 2010 so if you are not too full from all the turkey you consume, go check them out!
