Pip Brown aka Ladyhawke

Ladyhawke is back!  The New Zealand born singer played a sold out show at New York’s Bowery Ballroom on September 8, 2012.  Ladyhawke (aka Pip Brown) last toured in 2008 when her self-titled album was released.  Her latest record is called “Anxiety” and it deals with some of her childhood illnesses and insecurities.  Judging by the audience adoration, Ladyhawke has no reason to be insecure.  The crowd loved the show.

Though many of the songs played were from the new album, favorites such as “Paris Is Burning,” “Better Than Sunday,” and “My Delerium” were also featured.  Another highlight was her cover of Jefferson Airplane’s “White Rabbit.”  If you want to see a video of that, please let us know in the comments section.   I spoke with Ladyhawke after the show and she was super sweet.  I asked her not to stay away so long and she said that she plans on coming back soon!  Yes!
