Welcome Back Gorillaz

It’s hard to believe that 5 years has passed since “Demon Days” the second proper album (the 5th if you include a remix album and their “G-sides” collection and their “D-Sides” collection) from the Gorillaz was released.  ”Plastic Beach” will be unleashed to the world in just a few short days.  I don’t know about you, but I am excited for this release.  The album leaked last night and with my little G bucket, I soaked it up.  I really like it.  Hearing Lou Reed and Damon Albarn’s voices in the same song (Some Kind of Nature) is heaven! I could do without the Snoop Dogg rap in “Welcome to the World of the Plastic Beach” and the track “Superfast Jellyfish” is like some tripped out cereal commercial.  I also really like the title track that features Mick Jones of the Clash.  The album is everything you’d expect out of a Gorillaz release!  G gives a seal of approval.
