You can say many things about me, but one thing you cannot say is that my life is boring. I am incredibly blessed to see so many great things, meet so many great people and forgo sleep so I can bring you, my dear readers, the best of the New York music and art scene 7 days a week. I was invited to speak at Pratt Institute to talk about my life, my blog and my current loves in the art world on October 14, 2010 and it was a blast! Without going into all of the gorey details, I delivered two 3 hour lectures that discussed the very best of the art scene. Some of the artists I talked about were Mr. Brainwash, Banksy, Shepard Fairey, Beau, Ron English, Dick Chicken, Damien Hirst, Jeff Koons, Olek, Jeanne Wilkinson, Don Porcella, Charming Baker and Joshua Petker (whose wonderful painting “Don’t Walk Away” is featured on the screen in the above picture). I didn’t see any eyes shutting on me and some of the side conversations that spawned from the talk were really interesting. I thank all the attendees for showing some G love and thanks to Jeanne for an incredible opportunity.
If you don’t know the artists mentioned above, I highly encourage you to check them out. I’ve written about all of them on this site, so search the archives or go to their official sites to find out more. Your body and soul will thank you for it.
