Geoffrey Dicker and Ray Bradbury

Sad news!  The world has lost a legend.  Writer Ray Bradbury has died at age 91.

So many of his works have been influential in my life.  I am very sad.

Some of his highlights include The Martian Chronicles, Fahrenheit 451, Something Wicked this Way Comes, and so many more literary classics.

I met Ray Bradbury on many occasions, including the above photo taken when I was in high school and he was always an extremely nice guy.

RIP Ray!

Ray Bradbury and little G

I’d like to wish the wonderful American novelist, short story writer, essayist, playwright, screenwriter and poet Ray Bradbury a very happy 90th birthday!  I met Ray Bradbury many years ago in Los Angeles and he was extremely nice.  His hard work and dedication to his many crafts have been a life-long inspiration to me and millions of other readers/writers around the world.  Some of his career statistics include publishing more than thirty books, close to 600 short stories, and numerous poems, essays, and plays. His short stories have appeared in more than 1,000 school curriculum “recommended reading” anthologies.  So amazing!  Many happy returns Mr. Bradbury!
