Neil deGrasse Tyson and Geoffrey Dicker
A few nights ago, I had the great fortune of rubbing shoulders (read: taking photos with) some of the most influential people in the world, according to Time Magazine. My deepest gratitude to those who took some time out from being so bad ass on the world stage to say hello to their favorite blogger, G 🙂
It’s sort of bizarre to me that years ago, I wrote a letter to Clyde Tombaugh, who discovered the planet Pluto, and years later I met Neil deGrasse Tyson (see above), who disproved that Pluto is a planet. Whoa!
Anyway, a million thanks again to these forces to be reckoned with, whose accomplishments are so massive, I am literally in awe and speechless (mark this down in the books)! If you are unfamiliar with these people, do your homework!!!

Media magnate Rupert Murdoch is 8o years old. While I think that he is partially responsible for the corporate evil that is ruining the world, when I met him many years ago, he was a very nice guy. He even wished me the best of luck during our meeting. Also born on this day: writer Douglas Adams, singer Bobby (“Don’t Worry, Be Happy”) McFerrin, and Lawrence Welk. Cheers!
