Sensual Harassment is back! The beat-driven, disco psych-pop band has just released their latest video – “Disco Heart.” The video features Karley Sciortino (AKA Slutever of sex blog and now VICE TV fame). In “Disco Heart,” Karley plays a sexy 60’s stewardess from another planet who crashes into a dance party and hands out a bunch of strange pills resulting in pure mayhem for the Brooklyn party kids including tacky makeouts, excessive psychedelic strobing and Slutever herself riding a man in his underwear sporting a horse head costume. All done in a twisted, Tim Burton-like nature, to keep it tasteful! That’s a winning formula, according2g!
Sensual Harassment are not just satisfied releasing a new song and video. For a limited time, the band is offering the single for FREE on their official website (link will open in a new window).

Todd Thomas of Sensual Harassment
This is a good week to be a fan of acid punk band Sensual Harassment. There are three juicy tidbits from the New York band so let’s start at the beginning.
Their album “Alpha Draconis” is out this week! I’ve raved about Sensual Harassment before and since seeing them live, I’ve listened to their EP quite a few times, which features “Daddy Long Legs,” “Fever” and “Soldier” and I love all of the songs. If you took my advice when I first wrote about Sensual Harassment, you could have downloaded all those tracks for free. Never fear, the band kicks ass so they are once again offering free music on their official site.
That brings us to news item #2. “NYC Beast,” Sensual Harassment’s new single is available for free for a limited time on their official website. This song will send you to synth punk heaven! Trust me! This track will not be available forever, so go get it NOW!
News item #3. In celebration of news items 1 and 2, Sensual Harassment will be performing live on Friday, Nov 12, 2010 at 285 Kent Ave in Brooklyn (an underground DIY venue in Williamsburg, right beside Glasslands). There’s an open bar from 10-11 and they will be playing at 11pm. Afterwards there will be an amazing dance party with Jacques Renault and the Let’s Play House gang.
If that is not enough to sweeten the pot, ladies and gays, lead singer Todd Thomas often performs shirtless. I don’t see how it can get much better.

When Brooklyn’s Sensual Harassment hit the stage at the Music Hall of Williamsburg on June 14, 2010, opening for Delphic, I was very excited to finally hear the band that the blog-0-sphere has been buzzing about for months. I met lead singer Todd Thomas right before the show and not only was he gracious enough to take a picture with me (but I blew it and didn’t turn the flash on, so it’s blurry), but he also gave me a free 3-track EP! Thanks on both counts Todd! Obviously having that sort of experience, you think I’d immediately be spoiled, but as you all know, I leave my mind open, empty (ha!) and turned on to as many new experiences possible before I make a judgment. Sensual Harassment was awesome! They took the stage with a thumping dance track that would not be out of place on a Chemical Brothers album and from there it just got better and better. After each song, the Brooklyn-based trio took turns playing different instruments and it was musical heaven watching the drummer play bass and the keyboard player switch to the drums! You can download a few tracks to hear their awesomeness for yourself at Sheena Beaston. Also, if you check out Sensual Harassment’s official site, you can download stems that will enable you to make your own mixes!
Loving the Radiohead Tattoo!
If the above praise for Sensual Harassment doesn’t sway you, look at Todd Thomas’ Radiohead tattoo! It’s obvious that he has great musical taste and I think it translates perfectly into their live shows! I think this is definitely a band to watch (and hear), so expect to hear a lot more about them!

Thanks again Todd for rockin’ and for being so cool!
