On June 7, 2010, North Carolina’s Love Language opened for Camera Obscura at the Grand Ballroom in New York.  The band made a large splash at SXSW earlier this year, is a Spin Magazine buzz band and after their 45 minute set tonight, I think they have added New York to the list of cities they’ve conquered.  Their music is indie-pop and lead singer Stuart McLamb looks like Paul McCartney back when he was a total babe, and has vocals similar to Nathan Willet (lead singer of Cold War Kids).  According2g, those are both great things!  The music they played was guilt free and the crowd reacted with thunderous applause after every song.  Love Language‘s album Libraries will be released on July 13, 2010 and I think they have a hit on their hands.  Check out their 80’s inspired video for “Sparxxx” if you click on the Spin Magazine link above.  Special thanks to Stuart McLamb who handed me the set list after the band finished their triumphant set.
