Shadow Fux by Rita Ackermann and Harmony Korine. Now showing at the Swiss Institute in NYC through January 23, 2011

New York artist Rita Ackermann and Nashville based director Harmony Korine have teamed up on a collaborative exhibit called “Shadow Fux” at the Swiss Institute in New York.  The mixed media exhibit includes paintings, photographs and video.  The above image is from a short film showing at “Shadow Fux” where in this particular scene, two really creepy men are humping stuffed bunny rabbits.  I sort of think of it as an outtake from “Gummo (Part 2)” if you will.  If that’s your thing, you’ll love this exhibit.  The Swiss Institute is located at 495 Broadway, 3rd Floor in Manhattan.  “Shadow Fux” runs through January 23, 2011.  Thanks to the HFA for the tip!
