Rise Above 1 by Reeve Carney feautring Bono and The Edge
Say what you will about Spider-Man on Broadway, Reeve Carney is a star. The man is criminally good looking and is so talented! When he’s not on performing on Broadway, he’s in a band called Carney and they are great live! His new song “Rise Above 1″ from Spider-Man Turn Off The Dark features Bono and The Edge from U2. The soundtrack is out today. Find out more on the official Spiderman on Broadway site.

Lou Reed and The Edge live at Carnegie Hall
On October 4, 2009 at Gavin Friday’s AIDS benefit concert at Carnegie Hall in New York, we were treated to a special performance by The Edge of U2, Lou Reed of the Velvet Underground and performance artist Laurie Anderson! Before the show, I was standing next to Lou Reed on the street and he completely ignored me, which was a disappointment, but old man grumpus more than made up for it when he rocked the stage. Oddly enough, the Velvet Underground classic “Sweet Jane” was performed, but Mr. Reed didn’t sing a note.

U2 Live at Carnegie Hall - October 4, 2009
At Gavin Friday’s AIDS benefit on October 4, 2009 at Carnegie Hall in New York, the star-studded event featured some knock-out performances by U2!
Taking a slight break from their 360 Tour, U2 performed covers of T. Rex’s classics “Children of the Revolution” and “20th Century Boy,” and the sold-out crowd absolutely lost their minds to hear these rare performances.

Bono!
I’ll freely admit, I am not the biggest fan of U2. I think a lot of their songs are overrated and I don’t think they take enough chances, but the one thing that everyone seems to agree on is that they are incredible live performers. I decided to see what all the hype was about, and I must say, as performers, they deserve every kudo they get. Playing to a record audience of 82,000 people at Giants Stadium in New Jersey on September 24, 2009, U2 made the crowd go absolutely bonkers for 2 solid hours. Their set “The Claw” (see photo below), is one of the largest stage setups in concert history and as soon as you see this show, you’ll want one really bad!

It Might Get Loud - Now Playing!
I’m going to see “It Might Get Loud” starring Jimmy Page, The Edge and Jack White today. I’m very excited. It should be the rock-doc of the year.
