Good news and bad news.  The good news is Taner Ceylan’s exhibit “The Lost Paintings Series” at the Paul Kasmin Gallery was extremely cool.  The bad news is, I caught the exhibit on it’s final day so you will have to rely on online images or wait for the next Taner Ceylan exhbit to see his works in person.

Taner Ceylan’s paintings look like photographs and in this particular exhibit, you will see images that surely offend the closed-minded.  The characters in the paintings are often found doing acts that might be considered too taboo for the cultures they come from.  As you are aware, a big eff you to squashing people’s inherent nature ranks extremely high in my book.
