The Museum of Modern Art in New York has a lot of Claes Oldenburg art on display at the moment and if you are only familiar with his soft sculptures of every day objects (such as hamburgers and tennis shoes) you are in for a treat as you will see a different side of Oldenburg in the “Mouse Museum / Ray Gun Wing.”

Shaped like a mouse and ray gun respectively, these two mini-museums feature a lot of little tiny objects that were originally created or found in the 1970s.  Oldenburg blurs the lines of “ordinary objects” or “museum worthy pieces” and some objects were created by hand while others were simply found items.
