I actually saw this flier pinned up to a trash can, which in and of itself is amazing.  I was able to get a photo without getting my hands dirty!

After a quick spin on the Google machine, I found out the following info which I’ve borrowed from the UCB Theatre’s official website:

The Kirk Cameron Repertory Players Present: A HARRY POTTER MUSICAL!

Because who said God-fearing Christians couldn’t enjoy Harry Potter too?  No one!

Inspired by Kirk Cameron, Hollywood star and hardcore Evangelical Christian, The Kirk Cameron Repertory Players have played to sold out crowds at community theaters, Growing Pains fan conventions, and creation museums all over America.

(The audience is encouraged to bring Harry Potter books and Leonardo DiCaprio DVDs to the show.  There will be a book and DVD burning during the performance.)

Andrew Van Wyngarden of MGMT Visits WFMU

Andrew VanWyngarden of MGMT

What a nice surprise to find out that Andrew VanWyngarden, the lead singer of MGMT was doing an appearance on WFMU’s comedy show “Seven Second Delay” at the UprightCitizens Brigade Theater in New York on November 17, 2010.  Andrew was cool enough to sign a photo that I took of him and I earlier this summer prior to the taping.  Thanks Andrew!  I’ve met a lot of rockstars this year and meeting him has definitely been a highlight.  I love MGMT’s music a lot!  The interview was really funny as the hosts Ken and Andy pretended not to know anything about MGMT.  They pronounced the band as “Mega-ment” and even subjected Andrew VanWyngarden to a band playing a cover of their huge hit “Kids.”
