I’ve been a Fleetwood Mac fan for most of my life.  Lindsey Buckingham is a god to me.  I can’t get enough of the Lindsey/Stevie era of Fleetwood Mac which  is roughly from 1975 to present day (with some years off in the 80s and 90s).  Before Stevie Nicks and Lindsey Buckingham joined Fleetwood Mac, they were a duo known as Buckingham Nicks.  Their one and only album has never been issued on CD, though it’s quite easy to track down on the internet in digital format.  It was overlooked at the time, but it’s really a perfect record.  It was actually how Mick Fleetwood discovered the pair and subsequently asked them to join Fleetwood Mac.  A song from the sessions that has never been released has recently been unearthed and for the 40th anniversary of Buckingham Nicks, they recorded a new version of the song.  I never thought it possible that the song would be released and performed live, but on April 8, 2013 at Madison Square Garden they blew my mind and performed the gorgeous track “Without You.”  For being a fan all these years, it’s my absolute pleasure to present a live version of “Without You” to you my readers and to all the Fleetwood Mac/Buckingham Nicks fans out there! Sorry if it gets a little blurry in some spots, but what can you do?

Rumours (literally) have been swelling that Fleetwood Mac will revisit a never before released Buckingham Nicks classic on their upcoming 2013 tour and we’ve learned that the song will be “Without You.”  If you’re a diehard Buckingham Nicks fan, your head is probably caving in right now since it’s such a beautiful song.  This is going to be an exciting year for Fleetwood Mac fans and it’s already gotten off to a great start with the re-release of the Rumours album, which features a disc of unreleased rough demos that have never been heard before and the jewels in the crown include a Stevie Nicks demo of “The Chain” (with completely different music and lyrics aside from the lyrics of the chorus) and also a Christine McVie demo called “Keep Me There” which is also a rough demo of “The Chain.”  It features the music we’ve all come to know and love, but again, with completely different lyrics!  This set is a must have if you want to hear the process in making what is one of the best albums of all time!
